Dear Sir/Madam,
I, Pranav Patel extend my heartfelt gratitude to the visa high commission for allowing me another opportunity to offer a valid justification in support of my candidacy as a genuine temporary entrant. I have completed a Master of Commerce as my last higher qualification which further intrigued my fascination with logistics and supply chain management. Especially during the covid-19 outbreak, I thoroughly studied the logistics case studies to help broaden the view of my nearby merchants with my impeccable insights into this subject. I have now realized my potential in running a successful logistics business if I obtain formal training. Therefore, I am very much keen to pursue a Graduate Certificate Program in Supply Chain Management. To further my study pursuits, I have also received a Letter of Admission for May 2022 intake from Humber college but my previous visa application got rejected based on the following ground:
- I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
Thus, I intend to utilize this opportunity to the fullest by providing valid reasoning for choosing to study in Canada and my desire to return home while also detailing my future plans.
Purpose of Visit
My basic understanding of logistic business has allowed me to seek lucrative study opportunities in Canada due to a desire to strengthen logistics in my family business. The precision of logistics and supply chain management in Canada was witnessed by the world economies during the covid-19 wave. I have keenly observed how Canada well-managed its operations without panicking a lot. It strengthened my view about the solid handholding of Canada in maintaining its logistics and supply chain. Hence, I have inculcated a deep desire to learn from industry leaders without delaying much as the pandemic has started to settle down gradually as a result of vaccination drives.
Why Canada?
It is a great honor for me to study in a developed country as great as Canada. Irrespective of indigenously offered opportunities, I am more interested to pursue my study in Canada due to its eminent study culture. Canadian colleges equip a well-organized learning infrastructure that encourages openness in thoughts, ideas, and inspiration. Anyone from around the world would want to pursue education in Canada, also because of the most peaceful environment that can be found within the Canadian boundaries. The business excellence of Canada is renowned throughout the world; hence, I am equally inspired to grow my business excellence by pursuing my academic pursuits in Canada, only. The advanced pedagogy used to deliver classroom lessons stays with students throughout their life due to following a pragmatic approach. Decent industry exposure and internship opportunities are a plus that encourages students to get practical exposure in Canada. Moreover, English being the second most spoken language in Canada assures me to exchange valuable communication with a diversified group of students. The focus of the Canadian study system on innovation and business excellence prompts me to experience the thrill of learning at such a robust educational hub.
Why not India: I have speculated similar courses in my country too. Unfortunately, I cannot get the similar exposure in India that I can get through studying in Canada. Moreover, after comparing the curriculum of indigenously offered courses with the one offered at Humber College, I couldn’t find the supremacy that I can gain in Canada. Thus, I have concluded that studying in Canada will bag me two major benefits, one in the form of an internationally accredited qualification, and the second by offering optimum international exposure. None of this can be offered by studying indigenously. Thus, I am convinced that Canada is particularly the best choice for me to fulfill my academic goals.
Why Supply Chain Management at Humber College?
After already completing a Master of Commerce, I possess fundamental knowledge of how logistics business is carried out. However, to be able to make it a lifelong career, I need to acquire formal training as offered through the Graduate Certificate Program in Supply Chain Management. After having browsed through various curriculums offered at reputed colleges in Canada, I came across the one offered by Humber College. The course competency kept me hooked on the program handbook for a long time. After thoroughly analyzing the course offerings, I made my decision to stick to this course available at Humber College. The choicest selection of topics in Business Processes, Business Communication, and International Logistics convinces me to understand the nitty-gritty of supply chain business in a trending globalized market. With this, I aim to utilize my learnings back home in building my career in this niche. The inclusion of self-studying chambers, libraries, computer labs, and common student halls will improve my learning experience. Having a lesser student-to-teacher ratio will boost my chances of dedicated learning. Equipping a well-connected alumni network makes Humber even more desirable for me to retrieve valuable connections throughout my stay in Canada as well as when I am away. The twenty-four hours of student support allow me to strengthen my hope in the nurturing environment of Humber College over and again. Hence, I am very excited to experience such a study culture, where I will get the desired attention and response.
Reasons to return to India
Family Ties
I have a loving family that besides me includes my parents and a sibling. My father is a businessman operating in India. My mother is a homemaker and my younger sister is pursuing graduation indigenously. I have been living with my family since childhood. Hence, I share very strong ties with my family members. We have always stood by each other as the strongest pillar of support. I am the elder son who is responsible to take care of his family and family assets in future years. That is why I am intending to return to my country of residence soon after my studies in Canada are completed. Also, I do not possess any family ties in Canada which back my reasoning to seek a timely exit from the Canadian border. Hence, I am more interested in returning to my homeland and making a successful career among my family members. My father’s business connection will also come in handy as I embark upon my journey toward entrepreneurship.
Future Plans
My short-term goal is to achieve a meritorious result in my chosen course at Humber College. It will help me in honing specialized skills in this branch of study which will further prepare me to smoothen out my path to success. Following this, I will seek to venture into my father’s business and take it to exceptional heights with my intricate knowledge of logistics and supply chain management. My father wishes me to handle his business as he grows further in age so that I can become self-sufficient as he has always been. Envisioning the immense opportunities in logistics in the Indian market, I am also aiming high to build a robust knowledge base to give our business a new platform to grow. Later on, I wish to internationalize our business and make it recognizable nationwide and beyond. The chosen program at Humber College is a perfect fit for me to obtain the desired learning.
