Dear Sir/Madam,

I, Dhruv Aryaman, express my sincere gratitude for allowing me another opportunity to reinstate my intent to visit Canada. I am a passionate student aspiring to acquire deep knowledge about the hotel and resort industry through getting formalized training. Thus, I planned to pursue a course in Baking Foundation earlier but the previous visa rejection appeared as a true reflection of my core interest in establishing a hotel facility in my hometown.  Therefore, after having a thorough discussion with my elders and mentors, I have carefully chosen to upgrade my qualifications by pursuing an Ontario College Diploma in Hospitality – Hotel and Restaurant (HHRP). I have also received a Letter of Offer from Cambrian College but unfortunately, my student visa got rejected on the following ground:

  • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.

Thus, I would like to take this opportunity to provide a valid justification in support of my candidacy for the most genuine temporary international student in Canada.

Purpose of Visit

I aim to improve my existing knowledge of hospitality through receiving higher education in Canada. The superior hospitality services and welcoming culture in Canada is spoken worldwide. In addition to this, Canadian study culture provides a perfect blend of theory and application. Obtaining higher education in Canada will give hospitality students the chance to excel in their chosen career path. I feel an urgent need to upgrade my qualifications since I aspire to become an avid hospitality professional or entrepreneur. I, therefore, decided to pursue further studies in Canada as studying here not only provides me with an educational experience but also allows me to gain international experience that I would not have in my home country.

Why Canada?

Choosing to study in Canada will help me understand cross-cultural communication and become more hospitable towards people from different ethnicities and cultures. During the internship program, I will have the opportunity to directly deal with international clients, which will expand my perspective on serving international clients. Global education is critical to my growth, and no other destination could be better than Canada due to its expertise in tourism and hospitality. Consequently, I am confident that both my studies at the Hotel & Resort Management program in Canada and my return to my homeland will bring me enormous opportunities to thrive in a rapidly growing hospitality industry. My interest in this area is well-comprehended with the course available at Cambrian College. The experience will be the most significant addition to my academic background. As part of the program, I will also gain extensive experience in human interaction, tourism trends, and hotel/resort operations management. With this course in Canada, I will be able to gain great international exposure, allowing me to be the most desirable candidate for hospitality companies in India. International degrees are well appreciated in my country because of their impeccable global exposure, and I am certain that I will benefit from the same upon my return. Moreover, Canada is ranked seventh on a global peace index which is indicative of its peaceful atmosphere. I hope that as a new international student, I will have a peaceful stay. Furthermore, the policy of inclusion in the diversity of Canada inspires me to believe in the country’s values. Since Canada offers international students health care services on par with its citizens, I’m even more motivated to pursue my higher education there. For me, the prospect of studying in a country that puts students first seems very exciting. The experience that I will have studying in Canada will bring pride to my country.

Why not India: In India, our study system is focused more on theoretical concepts that impose more literal knowledge than practical handling of complex issues. Students aspiring to become hospitality professionals require a thorough practice of both concepts as well as advanced learning implementation. I can surely train myself more practically in Canada than in my country of residence. Moreover, to broaden my learning horizons, Canada is the most appropriate choice than India. It is due to the amount of international exposure that I will gain in Canada besides the internationally accredited qualification that is far more regarded in my native land. Hence, to strengthen my chances of success back home, I must gain a qualitative study experience abroad.

Why Cambrian College?

While researching various colleges in Canada, I also found a wide range of course curriculums. Courses at Cambrian College were more comprehensive than at other colleges. With the Hospitality – Hotel and Restaurant Diploma Program, I will study subjects such as Restaurant and Operations, Tourism Marketing and Hospitality Law, Risk Management, and Service Excellence that perfectly align with my professional aspirations as well as my learning expectations. The Work Practicum at Cambrian College allows me to use my learnings in the real world. I can use my practical experience to better understand how the hospitality industry functions in developed nations. This experience will translate my theoretical knowledge into practical solutions and give me international experience. I will be better prepared to lead the Indian hospitality and resort management sector when I return to my native land after studying at Cambrian College. With this course offered at Cambrian College, I can learn more than I ever imagined possible, and I am eager to begin this program as soon as possible.

Reasons to return to India:

Family Ties

I belong to a small nuclear family comprising my mother, father, and sister. My father is an ex-army man, currently pursuing farming and my mother is a homemaker. My sister is employed in Canada on a work permit after which she intends to settle in our hometown. I share a strong bond with my family members since we have been living together for many years. It would be impossible for me to live without them for a longer period. Hence, I will return to my family immediately after the completion of my studies in Canada. Since I am a son, I find myself morally accountable to support my parents and provide for their needs. We also own numerous movable and immovable assets worth CAD <add figure>, which I need to manage. Thus, I plan to return to India shortly after my studies are complete. I have enclosed copies of income proof and CA-approved certificates for your kind review. Upon completing my studies, I plan on returning home to fulfill my future dreams and to be with my family.

Future plans

My short-term goal is to pass my Ontario College Diploma in Hospitality – Hotel and Restaurant (HHRP) from Cambrian College with distinction and gain international exposure through qualitative internship programs. Afterward, I seek to work with hospitality giants such as The Leela Palace, Taj Mahal Palac, Taj Lake Palace, Oberoi Rajvilas in India. However, after serving the industry for a considerable period, I aspire to establish a hospitality business of international repute in my hometown. It is due to the majority of tourist footfall in Punjab, where a multitude of domestic and international devotees visit each year to quench their thirst for wisdom and peace at Golden Temple. It is my long-term career goal to provide eminent hospitality services for visitors in my hometown. Witnessing the growth of the tourism and hospitality sector in India, I am more than convinced to embrace this field as a life-long career opportunity. In the hospitality industry, I would be able to fill numerous deserving positions with the business acumen I would receive through this program.

Conclusion

Declaration of funds: I come from a wealthy family. My father is an established agriculturist. Thus, he is sponsoring my education and stay in Canada. Concerning my living and educational expenses, I have already submitted CAD <add figure> as my tuition fees while I have also deposited CAD <add figure> into the GIC account. As well as having sufficient savings to support me in case of additional expenses in Canada, my family has enough funds to take care of itself and pursue a decent lifestyle.

Language proficiency: My English language proficiency is evidenced by my IELTS score of 6.0 with no band less than 6.0 (Listening 6.5, Writing 6.0, Reading 6.0, Speaking 6.0). As a result, I’m confident that I will be able to communicate with ease in Canada. Please find enclosed the IELTS transcript for your kind review.

Oath: I intend to follow all the rules outlined in the Immigration Laws of Canada, as a law-abiding citizen. As an international student entrant, I am committed to following all guidelines and exhibiting the proper behavior expected of me. My sole goal will be to complete my higher education in Canada, by also adding to the country’s rich heritage and diverse background. My actions and desires will always take into account the ruling law and I will act according to it. By promoting peace and harmony in Canada, I intend to draw upon my strong cultural values. I, therefore, request that you consider my application and allow me a student permit so that I can accomplish my career goals.

Yours Faithfully,

Dhruv Aryaman
