Dear Sir/Madam,

I am very grateful to you for allowing me to present my case again and provide a valid justification to favor my candidacy as a genuine temporary student entrant in Canada.  I am an engineer turned businessman after serving the industry for a fair amount of time. However, belonging to a dairy business, I find my knowledge of supply chain and logistics limited up to a certain extent. However, I possess a zeal to expand my dairy business throughout India. To fulfill this aspiration, I first intend to take formal training in the supply chain. I am therefore keenly interested in pursuing a two-year post-graduate diploma in Supply Chain Management. Saskatchewan Polytechnic has also offered me a letter of acceptance, but unfortunately, my application for a student permit was rejected due to the following grounds:

  • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
  • Your proposed studies are not reasonable in light of: your qualifications, previous studies, mark sheets, academic record, level of establishment and/or your future prospects and plans.

With a desire to broaden my knowledge horizons, I aim to provide valid justification to prove myself as a legitimate temporary student in Canada.

Purpose of Visit

By studying in Canada, where there is a welcoming culture for international students and a range of workshops, seminars, and classes that apply to the job market, I hope to keep up with the latest advancements and perform at par with my colleagues in an organized business environment. The Canadian study system is known for having an exceptional culture of advanced learning and an excellent infrastructure supporting the academic study of higher professional courses. As a post-graduate diploma candidate at Saskatchewan Polytechnic, I was particularly attracted to the program because it not only offers hand-picked business lessons but also proficiency in strategic approaches to business. Being offered this program makes me one of the most fortunate students. In addition to being interested in taking this course, I want to gain a solid understanding of the technical details of the subject under the guidance of mentors I cannot find anywhere else. In comparison to not studying this course, I am certain that I will be able to handle the challenges of modern-day business more confidently. My expectations and career goals are perfectly aligned with the course curriculum that I will study abroad.

In my professional and business career, I am neither new nor unrealistic. Through hard work and zeal, I learned basic business skills and practices in the course of running a business. I am gratified to receive an offer letter and be selected for the course.

Why Canada?

The fact that Canada offers diverse opportunities in a wide range of fields has always made it one of my top global education providers. Moreover, it is also one of the most affordable international education centers, which meets both my criteria. I am familiar with the Canadian education system, and it is not comparable to that of my home country since the Canadian curriculum is more practical-oriented and includes internships that students require to become industry-ready. The country ranks seventh in the global peace index, which makes me feel confident about studying there as an international student. It is also good for me to understand that English is the second most spoken language here, which makes it easier to envision a comfortable stay. To ensure that Canadian students become better leaders of tomorrow, the study system is dedicated to promoting and encouraging business innovation. I am ardent to experience college life in Canada and explore my area of interest in greater depth.

Why Not India?

Having the opportunity to attend the Saskatchewan Polytechnic will allow me to pursue my intended course of study while gaining international exposure I would not otherwise have access to. My professional goals will be best served in Canada. It’s impossible for me to find a similar course in my country that is as extensive as that offered by the Saskatchewan Polytechnic. To gain global exposure and practical learning, I would rather study in Canada than India because of the practically aligned studies.

Why Saskatchewan Polytechnic?

Compared to those offered in India, I believe Saskatchewan Polytechnic’s course is more appropriate for consideration as a much more satisfying exposure. Throughout my coursework, I have been satisfied with the layout of the courses. The post-graduate diploma in Business Management and Supply Chain Management at Saskatchewan Polytechnic appears to be the best option for me after researching similar programs in other countries. My study goals will be achieved and I will gain a thorough knowledge of procurement, negotiation, leadership, logistics, risk management, and information systems. Once I return home, this overseas experience will broaden my international exposure and enhance my professional value as a business professional. Using the college’s library and computer lab, students will be able to take both theoretical and practical courses. As a result of my intensive research, I learned that the college has a vast alumni network. I am eager to begin my educational journey at a school of this caliber, taking into consideration all the points listed above.

Academic and professional record

Belonging to a family of highly educated people, I have been always encouraged to outperform in my academics. As a result, I completed high school with an overall percentage of 91.80%. Moreover, my senior secondary examination was also passed in flying colors achieving 93% total aggregate. Having always been good at studies, I was encouraged to take mechanical engineering during my graduation years. Hence, I completed my B.E Mechanical Engineering from SRM Valliammai Engineering College with an overall CGPA of 6.53. However, at the beginning of my graduate course, I received 12 arrears in first 4 semesters due to an unfortune circumstance. But I was determined to keep my academics on track, hence, I worked day-in and day-out to clear all the arrears in the fifth semester. As a result, I was able to obtain more than 70 percent in my last two semesters. Eventually, I completed my bachelor’s program with pride in 2016. Moreover, my stint with various internships helped me understand the real working environment. As a result, I polished my organizational skills and relevance to perform a given task. My impeccable grasping and quick response allowed me to seek placement with S Calibration where I worked from June 2016 to November 2018. My role in this company broadened my learning horizon in the process flow, calibration guides, standardization of calibration, etc. However, after possessing decent experience, I shifted to Advanced Calibration and Validation Services as a Calibration Engineer. This role gave me the freedom to align processes through my expertise by collaborating with other team members. However, after working here from December 2018 to December 2020, I self-speculated and found that I am more interested in pursuing my business interest. Consequently, I started a small-scale dairy farm that I am currently operating. Throughout my tenure since January 2021 till date, I have found my skills limited concerning logistics and supply chain management. Hence, with an intent to grow my business further, it is critical that I acquire formal education in the same field. This will not only allow me to equip myself with the righteous concepts but will also aid in my plans to expand my business after coming home.

Relationship between proposed studies and previous history

I refined my knowledge of marketing operations to a reasonable extent, thanks to the fundamental knowledge of the supply chain I gained from running my own dairy business. However, as I wish to take this business to state and national levels, I am more serious about honing my skills in the technical know-how of supply chain management that this course at Saskatchewan Polytechnic has to offer. I firmly believe that the fundamental know-how of the supply chain already acquired in my previous career will add to my learnings in this post-graduate Diploma program. This course offers a broader scope of learning in these areas. Therefore, I wish to study at this elite institution. It is essential to grow our business to new heights. I will become more knowledgeable in planning, sourcing, producing, and delivering products and services through Supply Chain Management.

Reasons to return to India

Family Ties

In India, I have a loving family that consists of my parents. My father is serving as a Warehouse InCharge at Smart Talk Pvt. Ltd. India, while my mother is an owner of Malar Dairy Farm at my hometown. After completing my studies, I would like to return to India as soon as possible in order to be with my family. As part of my quest to take my business to even greater heights with my newly acquired skill in Supply Chain Management, I am eager to complete my studies in Canada as soon as possible and return to my native country. As the son of the family, I am also responsible for all the family’s assets, including their movable and immovable properties. It is therefore vital for me to return to India in order to fulfill my career-related dreams as well as provide for my loved ones. As my parents are aging, I wish to take care of them and support them in all their requirements. As I do not have any family ties in Canada, I will return to my family immediately after I complete my studies in Canada.

Future Plans

With this program, I hope to acquire decent knowledge and skills in Supply Chain Management and pass it with distinction. Following that, I would like to gain more experience by associating myself with manufacturing/logistical companies such as Nestle India, Sri Krishna Milks Private Limited, AMUL India, Grasim Industries, DHL Supply Chain, Ryder Supply Chain Solution, etc. I would like to become a procurement/operations specialist. However, in the longer run, I wish to expand my dairy business throughout the nation utilizing my industry knowledge and academic learnings. In addition to creating more jobs, I will be able to give back to the society that has provided us with such a bright future.

Financial establishment and ability to fund education

As I have a solid financial background, I assure you that I can comfortably manage my stay in Canada. We own 6 acre of land and 14 00 sq. ft house in India. Besides, I have an account balance of INR 7 lakhs. In light of this, my parents are willing to sponsor my education. I have also paid full tuition fees of CAD 17,400 and deposited CAD 10,000 to the GIC account for living expenses. Enclosed is the required proof of payment. As I mentioned above, since we have a sound financial background, my family members will be able to sustain themselves while I am away, and they are prepared to assist me if any additional expenses arise in Canada during my stay. Attached are the financial details of our family.

Language proficiency

I hereby add that I am fairly proficient in the English language and have pursued my education with English as the medium of instruction. I have also taken the IELTS test and achieved an overall band score of 6.5, without a band score below that 6. I am therefore grateful that my knowledge of the respective language will not be subject to questioning when I apply for a Canadian student visa.

Conclusion

As a responsible citizen committed to adhering to the law and as a legitimate temporary student, I promise to obey all immigration laws at all costs. While I am in Canada, I will follow all immigration laws. As a Canadian citizen, I’ll follow all immigration laws. In turn, I will focus on education and training. On the contrary, I am excited to contribute my varied perspectives and support to the country. Upon entering Canada, I intend to pursue my academic career and further my education. I intend to pursue the aforesaid training in Canada as a genuine temporary student entrant.

Yours Faithfully,

Aarush Patel
