Sample of Scholarship Essay for Computer Science, Engineering

Being a woman, I have always strived to swim across the current by being vocal about issues such as injustice and have tried to transform opportunities into accolades. I have pursued a BTech in Computer Science Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, one of the premier engineering institutes in the country, and have scored 8.22/10.0 as the CGPA. Apart from attaining academic distinction, I have equally braced my professional growth. I started my professional journey in the spring of 2020 and am now serving as a Web Developer, working with both the front-end and back-end teams to build all client-side logic. I have been also recognized for my hard work in the form of a promotion, and it is this surge in responsibilities that have made me realize the importance of effective management. This realization to have a fundamental understanding of management has brought me back to my academic juncture and has propelled me to opt for a higher education program in Management. 

I have applied for the ‘Women in STEM Scholarship’ offered by the illustrious ESMT Berlin. The scholarship is for women who are willing to create an impact in the world of technology and possess immense leadership potential. I possess a BTech degree under my belt, coupled with ample exposure in leading a team and managing resources and tasks. The chosen program will enhance my existing skillset, will provide me with the much-needed edge to grow in my preferred field, and will help me secure a reputed managerial position in a top firm in my home country. Therefore, this scholarship means the world to me. Given the chance, I will leave no stone unturned and will prove to be a valuable addition to the ESMT community. I look forward to being a part of the 2021 cohort.
