Sub: Application requesting a study permit

Respected Sir/ Madam,

I am Rajat Verma and I find myself fortunate to have been presented with a Letter of Admission to pursue Diploma in Hospitality- Hotel and Resort Services Management at Fanshawe College. I am also thankful to you for allowing me an opportunity to request a visa grant through this application detailing about my entire profile.

I hope by the end of this application; I would be able to convince you of my deepest interest in studying this course from Canada.

Academic and professional background

I have been raised in an educated family background that provided all kinds of resources for me to enhance my academic exposure. Consequently, I passed my secondary school in 2019 with an overall percentage of 70% and my senior school in 2021 with an overall percentage in 70%. I always had an inclination towards hospitality and hotel services. As a result, I chose to study Arts in my senior school. My attraction to different cultures, places, demographics, artforms, literature, and civilizations made me perform absolutely well throughout my school years. After I have graduated from school, I am ardent to begin my journey into my chosen profession of hospitality. In this regard, I am deeming Canada to be of utmost worth to fulfill my study goals.

Why Canada?

Canada is abundant in its natural resource and has beautifully articulated infrastructure that has drawn a larger population of tourists to its breathtaking landscapes. With that view, Canada appeared as the best study option to me. It has well-groomed its colleges as per current industry standards that offers unparalleled study approach. Canada has a well-defined education system that encourages open learning and multitude of benefits of learning. As an international student I will get all the rights equal to its citizens which talks very high of Canada’s strong values.  Moreover, Canada fitted best in terms of cost of education as compared to other English-speaking countries. Also, I analyzed it on the parameters of openness, diversity, and learning opportunities and have found it to be the best study destination as per my educational goals.

Why not India: The program that I have found at Fanshawe College could also be found in my country but the same will not have any weightage as equal as the one I have chosen to study in Canada. The study system in India is not practically enriched while in Canada, I will have enough opportunities to undergo practical training and exposure through innovation-based classrooms. Dedicated faculty attention isn’t as great as Canadian college. Also, the kind of international exposure that I will find in Canada is not available in my country. As a result, I am placing high importance on studying in Canada,

After putting in lot of efforts I was able to find the course that is available at Fanshawe College. It is certainly the perfect match to my study goals. With this diploma, I am sure to grab the right kind of exposure that I am seeking as a part of my higher studies. I am eager to study topics in Hotel & Resort Operations, Technology for Hospitality, Cultural Anthropology, Tourism Recreation & Leisure, Accommodations Management, Commnication for Tourism & Hospitality as a part fo my study offering. I am extremely interested in studying Communication for Tourism & Hospitality due to its power to develop effective marketing personality in oneself. Hence, I will be able to draw more business to my future organization.  The small class size ratio will augment my learning experience at Fanshawe College. Also, its eminent faculty will instill confidence in me to meet the real-world hospitality clients and other stakeholders. Through this, I will develop myself in a well-rounded professional upon passing out form the college. Hence, I am interested to pursue the chosen course from Fanshawe College only.

Reasons to return to India

Family Ties

I come from a traditional Indian family which comprises my parents and a younger sibling. My father is a <add designation> at <add organization>.  My mother is a housewife and my brother is studying in school. My parents have always pored their love and support tome in abundance. I also want to reciprocate the same in future. I am very attached to my family members and so I want to return to my home after completing my studies in Canada. As I am the elder brother, I also have responsibility towards my younger sibling. I want to help him in his further studies as my parents are supporting me right now. Upon returning home, I will take all the responsibilities to cater to my father and mother’s needs on me. Also, I will manage all the inherited assets after I return to India. I do not possess any family ties in Canada which gives me strong reasoning to return home in humble presence of my parents.

Future Goals

During this time, my short-term goal is to pass my study program at Fanshawe College with distinction, especially since the college promises to offer internship opportunities. The five-star and seven-star hotels in India entice me with lucrative career prospects. Furthermore, I will be able to utilize my international experience as a Restaurant Manager, Food and Beverage Manager, Hotel Manager, and Resort Manager at elite facilities known for their impeccable service. In the long run, however, I hope to own a resort influenced by international mannerisms and culture. This will give my work recognition and support in my native country by establishing an image of an entrepreneur and a hotelier.

Financial ability to fund education

I belong to a financially strong family. My father withdraws an annual income of CAD<add figure> and my mother earns CAD<add figure> annually. We also possess substantial properties and land along with sufficient liquid and fixed funds reserved in national banks that constitute our financial worth. Please find my family’s financial details attached for your kind perusal. In light of this, I am confirmed that I can pursue seamless studies in Canada. As a result of sponsorship from my parents, I have also paid a tuition fee of CAD 17387.32 and deposited CAD 10,000 into the GIC account. Considering my family’s financial health, I am convinced that I can also seek support in case of any additional expenses that I might incur during my stay in Canada.

Language Proficiency

I have passed the IELTS examination with an overall score of 7.0 and no bands below 6.0. This certainly adds to my confidence to carry out studies in Canada. My IELTS transcript is enclosed herewith for your kind perusal.

Conclusion

I am aware of the Canadian Immigration Laws and I am determined to obey each rule laid under the same. By no means, I will deter my earnest motive of studying in Canada and I will not engage myself in unlawful activities or misrepresentation of the Canadian culture. Rather, I will add to the country’s image by displaying my strongest values as a temporary immigrant student.

Hence, to experience a world-class education system in Canada and set my career on the right foot, I request you to provide me with an opportunity to study in Canada by allowing me a student permit. I shall be highly grateful to you. Thanking you in advance.

Yours Sincerely,

Rajat Verma
