Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to express my sincere intent to apply for a visitor visa to Canada. My name is Aadib Khan, a 25-year-old entrepreneur currently residing in Bangladesh. I am the proud owner of Khan & Sons Sawmill and Timber Store, a business dedicated to transforming logs into usable wood products for construction, furniture, and various other applications. As I planned to visit my brother who is working in Canada, my last visa application was rejected due to the following reasons:

  • The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application.

Purpose of visit

The purpose of my visit to Canada is primarily for tourism and a family reunion with my cousin, Ashraf Mir. I am scheduled to stay in Canada from April 7th to April 20th, 2024, and my tentative dates of arrival and departure are the same, respectively. During my stay, I plan to reside with my cousin and some friends, ensuring a cost-effective and comfortable arrangement.

My cousin, Ashraf Mir, is currently residing in Canada on a post-graduation work permit. He is employed as a Cook at the Berco’s Chinese restaurant located in downtown Toronto. The nature of his work and his stable employment make him a suitable and capable host during my visit. I have a strong familial bond with my cousin, and his invitation is a testament to the close-knit relationship we share. His supportive presence and local guidance will undoubtedly enhance my overall experience during my stay in Canada.

During my stay in Canada, I am thrilled at the prospect of exploring the vibrant and culturally rich landscapes that the country has to offer. One of the places I am particularly excited to visit is the iconic city of Toronto, where my cousin resides. Toronto is renowned for its stunning skyline, diverse neighbourhoods, and cultural attractions. I look forward to immersing myself in the dynamic atmosphere of downtown Toronto, exploring its bustling streets, and experiencing the local cuisine. Additionally, I am eager to visit the breathtaking Niagara Falls, a natural wonder that has always captivated my imagination. The sheer power and beauty of the falls are something I have only seen in pictures, and being able to witness it in person would be a dream come true. Furthermore, I plan to explore some of Canada’s renowned museums and art galleries, such as the Royal Ontario Museum and the Art Gallery of Ontario, to gain a deeper understanding of the country’s history and artistic heritage. Overall, my time in Canada will be a perfect blend of family bonding and cultural exploration, and I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to create lasting memories in the diverse and enchanting landscapes of this beautiful country.

Financial establishment

In terms of financial stability, I would like to assure the consulate that I am fully capable of funding this trip without imposing any financial burden on my family or brother. As I own a successfully running business, the majority of our clientele comprises furniture manufacturers, and we employ approximately 20 full-time workers, generating an annual revenue of around BDT 10,729,000.00. This business was originally established by my late father, Azam Khan, who we lost because of Cancer. After his demise, the responsibility of overseeing and managing the business was passed on to me.  The annual revenue generated by my business, coupled with my personal savings, provides me with the necessary financial resources to cover all travel expenses, including accommodation, meals, and any unforeseen circumstances that may arise.

Family ties in Bangladesh

Despite the allure of staying in Canada, I am committed to returning to my home country, after the conclusion of my trip. I have significant family ties and responsibilities in my country, including the care of my old mother, Obaida Khatoon (59), and my younger brother who is still completing his studies. It is my moral duty to attend to their needs and fulfill my responsibilities towards them.

Conclusion

I kindly request the Consulate General to grant me a visitor visa to Canada, assuring you that my visit is solely for the specified purposes of tourism and family reunion. I understand the importance of returning to my home country after the stipulated period and am committed to abiding by all the rules and regulations governing my stay in Canada.

Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to the opportunity to visit Canada and experience its diverse culture while ensuring a timely return to my home country.

Yours sincerely,

Aadib Khan
