Sub: Application requesting a study permit

Respected Sir/ Madam,

I, Siddharth Joshi, extend my heartiest thanks to you for allowing me to request a visa permit through this medium. I am a passionate individual seeking to embrace career opportunities in a core human resources domain due to my strong inclination toward people management. However, to fully embrace a career opportunity, I first need to equip myself with first-hand training in this particular field. As a result, I have decided to pursue a Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management available at Humber College. I am also elated to share that I have received a Letter of Admission to Humber College for the September 2022 intake

I, therefore, utilize this opportunity to convince you about my genuine status as a temporary entrant to Canada.

Academic and professional background

Since Childhood, I have involved myself in activities that exhibited leadership quality and people welfare. Eventually, I realized that I possess immense potential in managing people at work if I acquire formalized training in this domain. On the academic front, I passed my secondary school in 2014 with an overall CGPA of 7.4. I studied arts in my senior secondary school and qualified for my senior secondary examination with an aggregate percentage of 85.6% in 2016. After this, I pursued D. EL. ED which I completed in 2018 with an overall percentage of 80 percent. As a part of my graduate studies, I pursued a bachelor’s of Arts from the University of Delhi and passed it with first division. I had English as my core subject which developed great communication skills in me. Throughout my graduate years, I realized that I should give serious thought to pursuing higher studies in HRM. After passing out my bachelor’s in 2021, I started speculating varied learning opportunities and I finally decided to pursue my future endeavors in a diversified study culture that Canada has to offer in abundance.

Why Human Resource Management at Humber College?

The program offered by Humber College offers a comprehensive study structure to broaden my learning horizons. I have also compared the vastness of this course with other available options among the Canadian colleges but I couldnā€™t find one that could comprehend my study objectives like the one at Humber College. Placing high hopes in the management of the college, I am eager to begin my program at Humber College. I am very optimistic about the collegesā€™ eminent faculty involvement at every stage of the learning process. Also, its small class size impresses me as it will be a first-hand exposure for me due to having studied amongst a larger population previously. The work placement opportunity as a part of my curriculum in the third semester will provide me with the righteous platform to outgrow as a well-rounded professional. On top of this, Humberā€™s program is the longest-running program and is highly regarded by employers. Therefore, I believe that it is certainly the best investment in my career. I must study the topics such as Recruitment and Selection, Employment law, Human Resources Planning, HRM Management Finance, Labour Relations, and Training and Development which are exclusively taught in this program. As a result, I am highly motivated to study at Humber College and experience its modern pedagogy in the Department of Human Resources Management.

Why Canada?

Canada is a versatile education hub that delivers high-ended education through a well-designed study pattern that I based exclusively on the practical implementation of learning. Moreover, it is an affordable study destination that offers a distinguished learning opportunity to its international applicants. Canada is the most bias-free nation in the world. It creates a peaceful environment to create a harmonious student community. Canadaā€™s multicultural population fuels my confidence as an international student and assures me of a comfortable stay throughout my time in Canada. Moreover, due to Canadaā€™s fair policies and international student rights, I will also get treatment equal to its citizens. This has strengthened my decision to pursue further studies in Canada.

Why not India: I have compared various other courses available indigenously with the one I have chosen to pursue but I couldnā€™t find a single course offering as comprehensive as the one available in Canada. Also, for me, I must grab international exposure due to possessing a dream to serve an international clientele and global workforce in the future. My internationally accredited qualification will give me a competitive edge over others and I would be able to carve a niche for myself among the industry professionals in India. The Indian colleges will neither provide a globally recognized offering nor will I have a chance to attract international exposure. Hence, I am more interested in pursuing my further studies in Canada than in India.

Reasons to return to India:

Family Ties

I belong to a joint family in India that comprises my parents, <add details of other family members>. My father is a government employee while my mother is a Librarian. As I have shared a larger portion of my life staying with my family members, I have inculcated great family values and bonding with them. I am so attached to all of them, especially my parents that I cannot imagine living away from them for a longer time. Hence, I have planned to return to my family after the completion of my study program. My family has supported me through thick and thin and my parents have always stood by my side. I am also getting immense support from them in my future perspectives and my decision to study abroad. As a result, I want to return home and reciprocate my earnest gratitude toward them by being their strongest aid. No matter what, I will provide my parents with every ounce of support and take their full responsibility on my shoulders. I will also manage all the assets which they have gathered over time. I also do not possess any family ties in Canada which give me equivalent reasoning to return to my home country.

Future Goals

As a part of my short-term endeavor, I am devoted to fulfilling my study aspirations and achieving higher grades in my current study program. Through this, I will raise my bar of getting hired by highly performing multinational corporations in India. I am seeking to acquire roles such as HR Specialist, HR Analyst, or HR Supervisor- Manager. I have an equal chance of getting a rewarding remuneration of approximately CAD 13000 to CAD 20000 annually after acquiring this certification. I will aim to enhance my practical exposure and skillset in companies like Accenture, Reliance Industries, Larsen & Toubro, and LTI. These are the top-performing MNCs graciously operating in India. In the long run, I possess an ardent desire to head the human resource department and grow up to become a board member in the future. It is certainly a long road but I am sure that my foreign learning will catalyze my career growth forward.

Financial establishment and ability to fund education

My family is financially secured and possesses enough funds to fulfill my future endeavors. We possess movable and immovable assets worth CAD<add figure>. The financial details for my family are enclosed herewith. My father has also extended his generous support in sponsoring my education and stay in Canada. Thus, I have paid a tuition fee of CAD 18,748 and deposited CAD 10200 into the GIC account. With my familyā€™s financial status, I am convinced that I can expect financial help in case of additional expenses that I might incur during my stay in Canada.

Language Proficiency

I have taken the IELTS test to prove my English language proficiency. My overall band score is 6.5 having no band less than 6.0. (Listening- 7.0, Reading-6.0, Writing-6.0, Speaking -7.0). With this, I am convinced that language will not be a barrier to communication.

Conclusion

I have thoroughly read the Canadian Immigration Laws and I am fully aware of the criticality of abiding by the same. Throughout my stay in Canada, I will pose high importance on gaining higher education and contributing to Canadaā€™s image as a global education leader. In no circumstances I will act hostile, rather I will be the friendliest and good-natured student immigrant in Canada. I will exhibit my strong cultural values and raise bars for others too.

I hope that my genuine interest and sincerity will support your decision-making in my favor and I would be able to visit Canada to fulfilling my study aspirations. Thanking you in advance.

Yours Sincerely,

Siddharth Joshi
